The 7-Year Sparkle Plan
Seven years is the ideal balance between long-term protection and the realistic, everyday wear that jewelry naturally experiences.
A 7-year plan covers you through the period when your ring sees the most use, keeping it secure, polished, and beautiful — without unexpected maintenance costs. It’s long enough to give true peace of mind while keeping the plan affordable and without any surprise changes.
And unlike other industry plans that require you to come in every six months for time-consuming inspections, our coverage gives you seven full years of protection without the hassle. Bring your jewelry in when you need to, and your warranty stays fully intact — no risk of it being voided because life got busy. We get it — you’re busy living life, making memories, and being in love. Your jewelry care should fit around your world, not the other way around.
Terms Of Warranty
Warranty Terms & Exclusions
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not apply to damage caused by wear, accidents, improper care, or outside factors. To ensure transparency and protection for both you and our artisans, please review the full terms below.
What Is NOT Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
(not limited to dropping, hitting, crushing, bending, or any force/impact) - Misuse, abuse, or irresponsible, or normal wear
- Loose, bent, worn, or broken prongs
- Loss of centre stones (moissanite or diamond)
- Scratches, dents, or standard wear and tear
- Rhodium wear or metal discolouration over time
- Chemical damage
- Allergic reactions or skin sensitivities
- Discoloration or damage caused by improper cleaning
- Work performed by another jeweller
(Any third-party servicing voids the warranty, warranty non refundable) - Any situation not directly linked to a verified manufacturing defect
Outside Evaluations or Diagnoses
We do not accept evaluations, assessments, or diagnoses from jewelers or repair shops outside of Moissy Fine Jewelry or a Moissy-approved authorised artisan.
Our trained specialists are qualified to evaluate whether an issue is related to a manufacturing defect.
About Small Accent Stones
All Moissy jewelry is crafted, with melee stones carefully hand-set.
- We cover lost accent stones (2.5mm or smaller) for the first 12 months.
- After 1 year, accent-stone issues are considered normal wear and tear.
What IS Covered
If an issue is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the affected component at no charge.
Each piece is closely inspected by our team to determine whether the issue qualifies under the manufacturing warranty.
If the damage is unrelated to a defect, a repair estimate will be provided, and the cost will be the responsibility of the customer.
Third-Party Jewellers
Any repair, sizing, soldering, prong work, stone setting, or cleaning performed by a jeweller not authorised by Moissy Fine Jewelry will immediately void the warranty.
Insurance Recommendation
We strongly encourage clients to obtain independent jewelry insurance, which can cover:
- Loss
- Theft
- Accidental damage
- Impact/crushing damage
- Replacement for irreparable pieces
Insurance can provide protection for situations outside the scope of any jeweler’s warranty.
Shipping Terms for Service
When sending jewelry to us for service or maintenance:
- Shipping to Moissy is the customer’s responsibility
- Any duties, taxes, or customs fees during transit are also the customer’s responsibility
- Return shipping must be covered by the customer or a prepaid return label
- Moissy offers return shipping for:

Lifetime Warranty Definitions & Terms
Lifetime
“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of the original purchaser or the first person the item is gifted to.
The lifetime warranty immediately expires if the jewelry is later sold, gifted, transferred, traded, or passed on to another party. A new Lifetime Warranty must be purchased for the next owner.
Product Lifetime
The Product Lifetime ends when the item is altered in any way from its original form as described on the POS receipt or Certificate of Authenticity.
This includes but not limited to:
- Resizing
- Soldering
- Prong work
- Stone replacement or resetting
- Polishing with commercial machinery
- Any modification by a non-authorized jeweler
Any change to the original design voids all warranties.
Warranty Activation
Your warranty becomes active upon:
- Showroom pickup, or
- The date the shipment is delivered to the recipient
(whichever occurs first)
Replacement Terms
If an item, centre stone, or component must be replaced and an exact match is unavailable, Moissy Fine Jewelry will provide a replacement of similar style, likeness, or equal value—at Moissy’s sole discretion.
Moissy reserves the right to discontinue service under a warranty plan at any time if:
- The item cannot be safely repaired
- A repair cannot meet Moissy’s quality or structural standards
- Repair costs exceed the original purchase price of the item
In these cases, Moissy may offer:
- A replacement of equal or greater value
- A refund
- A partial refund
These options are provided at Moissy’s discretion and are considered a full resolution of the warranty claim.
Cancellation, Transfer & Extension
- Warranty plans may be cancelled within 7 days of purchase if no services have been used.
- Warranty plans are non-transferable & non-refundable
- Extensions of warranty plans are not guaranteed and are granted solely at Moissy’s discretion.
- Moissy may decline to extend or add new warranties to past purchases.
- If an extension is approved, the current extension rate will be provided to the purchaser.
- A warranty must already be in place before a repair issue is diagnosed.
- Warranties cannot be purchased in place of, or after, a repair quote has been provided.
(No retroactive warranties.)
Shipping Policy for Warranty Service
- Warranty services do not include shipping costs.
- Shipping to Moissy is the customer’s responsibility.
- All duties, customs fees, and import taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser.
- Return shipping must be paid by the purchaser or provided via a prepaid label.

Tracked and insured shipping is strongly recommended. Moissy is not responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged shipments.
Not Covered Under Any Warranty
To protect the integrity of our craftsmanship, none of the following are covered under any Moissy warranty:
1. Accidental Damage
Including but not limited to:
- Dropping the item
- Impact against hard surfaces
- Pressure from gym equipment, weights, machinery, or heavy lifting
- Bent, crushed, warped, or misshapen rings
2. Damaged or Worn Prongs
- Bent, loose, worn-down, or broken prongs
(These result from wear, impact, or improper care, not manufacturing defects.)
3. Misuse, Abuse, or Irresponsible Wear
Includes but not limited to:
- Wearing jewelry during workouts, cleaning, gardening, manual labour, or swimming
- Exposure to harsh chemicals (chlorine, bleach, cleaners, salon chemicals, acetone, spa chemicals)
4. Unauthorized Repairs
- Any work performed by another jeweler voids all coverage
- Includes resizing, soldering, cleaning, prong work, stone setting, polishing, plating, etc.
5. Loss of Centre Stones
Centre stones (moissanite or diamond) are not covered for loss, damage, chips or cracks under extended warranty plans.
6. Cosmetic Wear
- Scratches
- Dents
- Rhodium fading
- Normal metal wear over time
7. Environmental, External, or Uncontrollable Events
- Fire
- Flood
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Collision
- Acts of God
- Civil commotion, labour strikes, disturbances, lockouts
8. Third-Party Assessments or Evaluations
Moissy does not accept evaluations, diagnoses, or assessments from any jeweler or repair shop outside of Moissy Fine Jewelry or an authorized Moissy artisan.
Only Moissy specialists may evaluate warranty claims.
Care & Cleaning
Moissy Fine Jewelry ensures that all their pieces of jewelry are crafted to last a lifetime and beyond. While they are designed to withstand everyday wear, it is important to treat them as precious fine jewelry and handle them with care.
GOLD METALS:
Gold is a durable metal, but it can still be scratched and damaged. Chlorine can be harmful, so take care to remove it before entering a hot tub. Gold does not tarnish (oxidize) and therefore does not require a special chemical cleaner. Simply wipe with a soft cloth to remove dirt and oils. White gold metals will require more maintenance. Expect to re rhodium your piece at least once per year to restore the bright white color
MOISSANITE:
Moissanite are some of the hardest substances on earth, but treat your jewellery with care since a hard blow can still be damaging. Moissanite jewellery can be damaged by everyday activities so remember to remove and store it in a safe place if you are doing strenuous activities. Also, it is best to remove your Moissanite jewellery before handling household cleaners.
SETTINGS:
Take your pieces to a Moissy Showroom to have all settings checked . We recommend twice per year. They will ensure that your prongs are in sturdy shape and not in need of maintenance. Have your prongs checked frequently to avoid stones becoming loose and falling out. Unfortunately, we do not cover lost center stones, and your warranty may no longer cover lost side or halo stones. Having your piece professionally cleaned means the jeweler will be able to spot loose stones. If a gem falls out into the ultrasonic cleaning basket, it can be safely found and re-set. Otherwise, most gems may fall out never to be found again. Besides a trip to the cleaners always makes it feel brand new!
To preserve the longevity of your piece and prevent bending, scratches, and stains, we recommend removing it during certain activities such as weightlifting, intense physical activities, gardening, and handling household solutions, cleaners, hairsprays, and lotions. While your Moissanite is safe for showering and swimming, please note that prolonged exposure to hard water may cause the rhodium plating to wear away, requiring additional maintenance for your setting.
If you're looking for a jewelry option that eliminates the need for frequent rhodium maintenance, consider choosing Platinum metal for your pieces. Platinum is a naturally white metal that retains its color even after the rhodium plating has worn away. With time, it develops a brushed silver look. Although platinum is a denser and pricier metal choice, it offers the advantage of reduced rhodium maintenance requirements

- Limited Coverage:
We do not provide a warranty beyond workmanship for our jewelry. Our focus on providing excellent prices necessitates this limited coverage. - Workmanship Coverage:
In the rare event of a workmanship issue, we cover manufacturing defects at our discretion. Workmanship defects are determined solely by our team and include issues related to the craftsmanship of the jewelry. - Exclusions:
Workmanship defects do not include wear and tear, broken clasps, edges, posts, bends, or any issues resulting from misuse or mishandling. Loss or theft is also not covered under this warranty. - Jewelry Care:
We advise wearing and removing your jewelry with care to avoid unnecessary stress on the piece. Please store your jewelry safely when not in use. This precautionary measure will help prolong the life and luster of your Modern Gold 10K jewelry. - Discretionary Determination:
Determination of manufacturing defects is made at our discretion. We strive to provide fair assessments based on the details of each case. - How to Claim:
In the rare event that you believe your jewelry has a manufacturing defect covered under our warranty, please contact our customer service team. Provide a detailed description and, if possible, accompanying images to facilitate the evaluation process.
